Here’s a preview of what I am working on for my show this year. Building fifteen 24 shot racks (with my little helper) for Dominator 62-mm mortars. I’ve got 28 of the 45 eight shot rows done. This is my first time using a table saw so some of my measurements were a bit off when ripping 2 x 4s and some of the other cuts. I didn’t realize the fence was moving slightly as I made my cuts. I eventually caught it and fixed with some wood clamps. I was able to use the pieces that were a bit larger and others I had to trim down. Overall, I was looking for about 2 & 7/8″ for the square for each mortar. The outside diameter of the Dominator mortar tubes is 2.755 inches. Some were slightly larger but nothing to be concerned about. Spacers are 3/4″. Full specs for the 8 tube rows are below. I intend on posting a build video at some point.

Bottom Rails1/2″ OSB or Plywood cut to 1/2″ X 3″ (approximately… I had some that were closer to 2.5″)33″2
Top Rails1/2″ Plywood cut to 1/2″ X 3″ (approximately… I had some that were closer to 2.5″)33″2
SpacersUsed 1″ x 2″ and 1″ x 3″ boards. Both are 3/4″ thick nominal size.2 & 7/8″18

I will probably do most of the racks in the configuration below with the outside rows having optional angled settings.
